Working with the Body and Nervous System

My work is grounded in Somatic Experiencing®, a body-based approach to healing trauma and stress. It offers a way to gently work with the nervous system and the held energy of past experiences that may still be shaping how you feel and respond.

Rather than reliving the past, we support the body to slowly process and integrate what has been unresolved. In this way, responses that did not have the chance to complete can begin to find resolution. This can restore a sense of safety, regulation, and connection within yourself, allowing change to happen in a way that feels steady and supported.

My approach to counselling recognises the interconnectedness of mind, body, and lived experience. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I see each person as a whole being with their own story, inner wisdom, and unique path to honour.

Through this lens, we explore not only thoughts and behaviours, but the wider patterns that shape your experience—how life has been lived, what has been carried, and what is ready to shift. It is a way of working that respects the complexity of being human, while gently supporting meaningful change.

As a transpersonal counsellor, I hold space for the parts of you that seek meaning, connection, and a sense of belonging. This includes the deeper layers of self that are often overlooked—the quiet knowing, the inner guidance, and the longing for something more.

Our work creates a space where you can reconnect with your authentic self and uncover the insights and strengths already within you. It is not about becoming someone new, but about returning to who you are beneath the layers of experience.
